The Morocco Experience

Morocco is a country of incredible contrasts and deep history, a blend of Arab, Islamic, Berber, Jewish, African, and European cultures. This 11-night trip begins in Paris and includes three nights each in the very different environments of Marrakesh, the coastal town of Essouira, and the natural beauty of the Atlas Mountains. We'll experience the welcoming hospitality of the Moroccan people as we visit historical and cultural sites, observe artisans in their workshops, and learn to prepare traditional dishes in a cooking class. We'll enjoy Moroccan cuisine in a variety of settings, including in a family home. This trip will be offered again in early 2026.

The Cornwall Experience

Cornwall is a unique and ancient area of England, the southwest tip, with over 300 miles of mostly-rugged coastline and a sub-tropical climate. This special 10-day trip bases for the first week in the historic seafront town of Penzance and also includes several days on the idyllic Isles of Scilly, 25 miles off the coast. We'll enjoy quaint fishing villages, white sand beaches, historic and natural sites, prehistoric structures, world-famous gardens, and excellent local cuisine. We will offer this trip again in April 2026.

The Mediterranean Provence Experience

This week is based in the waterfront village of Bandol in the protected, lesser-known western area of the French Riviera. The landscape features a mix of natural Provençal forests, rocky cliffs, coastal paths, discreet sandy coves, and the azur blue sea. Our week includes day trips to Marseille and Toulon, visits to coastal villages and vineyards, boat trips to enjoy the spectacular scenery, meals of fresh and seasonal foods, and much more. The Luberon Experience

The Luberon is an incredibly beautiful valley surrounded by low mountains and views in every direction. The authentic perched village of Bonnieux is the perfect base to experience the best of Provence. Our week includes perched villages, colorful outdoor markets, wineries, picnics, castle ruins and more. This year's June groups will likely see lavender fields nearby! This trip was named one of National Geographic Traveler's 50 best tours in the world. This trip is offered annually, in May and September.

Lyon is one of France’s best-kept secrets and known as the capital of French gastronomy. Its hilltop perches offer dramatic panoramic views of the city, and the banks of its two rivers. With a range of neighborhoods, from the chic to the offbeat, Lyon retains its authentic, local character. In addition to explorations of this very interesting city and memorable meals (of course!), we'll make a day trip to the surrounding Beaujolais wine region.

Special Trip in 2025!

This trip is designed for travelers who enjoyed the Luberon on a first trip and want to explore more of this area. From our base in Bonnieux, we'll travel north, south, east and west to visit new villages, wineries, and historic sites. Our week will include a fun truffle hunt, a game of boules with friends, optional walks, and other very memorable experiences.

The Riviera Hillsides Experience

This Experience week is based in a typical village near Grasse, in the scenic foothills behind the famous French Riviera, offering a very different ambiance from the glitzy beaches of the Riviera. The backcountry of the Côte d'Azur is bathed in sunshine and carpeted in olive groves. The protected micro-climate favors temperate plant species and flowers of all kinds, important for the perfume industry. Our week includes visits to perched villages and lush gardens, a perfume/fragrance workshop; a special day focused on art and artists, an excursion by boat to an offshore island, food-related experiences and much more. We hope to offer this trip again in 2026 and will offer a women's week and a mixed group then.

Colmar housesThe Alsace Experience

Join us in the idyllic wine region of Alsace, in the foothills of the Vosges mountains near the German border. We'll stay in the peaceful wine village of Kientzheim, a short walk from popular Kaysersberg. Our week includes picturesque villages, the charming town of Colmar, the 12th century Haut-Koenigsbourg castle and other historical sites, winery tours and tastings, and a day trip to a fascinating outdoor heritage museum. We'll enjoy Alsatian cuisine in a variety of settings. We plan to offer this trip again in 2027.

The Cotswolds Experience

The Cotswolds is the English countryside you've dreamed of: an idyllic land of rolling hills, gentle streams, grazing sheep, and quaint stone cottages. The well-preserved town of Chipping Campden, with its lovely High Street, is our home for the week. Our week includes historic castles, traditional pubs, magnificent gardens, quaint villages, a visit to a historic (and perhaps haunted) village pub, and a special dinner at the Pudding Club. Special Trip in 2025!

Based in the Chipping Campden, this special Experience week has been scheduled to include Chipping Campden's Open Gardens weekend. Many private gardens in the town will be open to the public, and it's a great opportunity to enjoy a variety of gardens. We'll also visit other noted Cotswolds gardens, including National Trust properties, large estates, smaller private gardens, an arboretum, and a lavender farm. We'll also enjoy other Cotswolds experiences such as picturesque villages, countryside walks, and wonderful meals in a variety of settings.

Inside Bath

Explore this fascinating UNESCO World Heritage City on a four-night intensive experience, hosted by a former Bath resident, who can offer a true insider's perspective. Our group will explore Roman history, Georgian architecture, Jane Austen sites, and favorite local spots for food and drink. The Normandy Experience

This 7-night trip is based in the charming, medieval town of Bayeux, just a few miles from the sea. One important day will focus on the World War II and D-Day history, which took place on the nearby beaches. But Normandy has much else to enjoy. We'll make day trips to the lovely waterfront town of Honfleur and also experience the lush countryside of the Pays d'Auge. We'll visit apple distilleries, cheese dairies, chateaus and gardens; and of course we'll enjoy memorable meals. This trip will be offered again in 2026.

The Portugal Experience
New Trip in 2025!

We’re excited to introduce this destination to European Experiences travelers for the first time in 2025. This Experience will focus on Northern Portugal, the oldest part of the Portuguese nation, offering us a wide diversity of cultural, historical, and religious sites; areas of natural beauty; and culinary traditions. Based in the charming small city of Braga, we'll explore the Douro River valley and the Peneda-Gerês National Park, the city of Porto, and nearby towns and villages, including three boat trips. This trip will be offered again in 2026.

Inside Paris

This four-night "insider's" experience in Paris will introduce you a more authentic Paris, including experiences not normally accessible to visitors. The Puglia Experience

Our week in southern Italy ("the heel of the boot") offers unique experiences and spectacular scenery on the sea and in the countryside. We base in the hilltop "white city" of Ostuni, just a few miles from the Adriatic coast. Our week includes special visits to family wineries and small food producers, guided walks in fascinating towns and villages (including Lecce and Alberobello), explorations of ancient sites, and a cooking class. Of course, our meals will be a highlight! We'll offer this trip again in 2027.
