“The Captain and His Crew — Boarding the MV Princessa in Falmouth for a boat trip into the Helford River we noticed many framed photos of former ships’ dogs in the lounge. I had come to realize the love Cornish people have for their dogs. Every boat or ferry seemed to have at least one dog in the crew. As we disembarked the Princessa, the Captain and his two “mates” came out to bid us farewell. To me, this photo of the captain and his dogs is an example of the persona presented by the people of Cornwall.”
