Updated as of March 1, 2020

Like all of you, we’ve been closely following the news about the coronavirus around the world, including Italy and other European countries.

We care about the health and safety of our travelers, and we also care about providing a great travel experience. Our long-term relationships with our travelers and our partners in Europe are very important to us.

We’ll begin our season on April 21 in Cornwall, England and then continue with trips in Provence in May and Tuscany and Alsace in June. There’s currently a Level 2 warning for all of Italy and a Level 3 warning for two areas in Northern Italy. Our first trip in Tuscany begins on May 30, so still almost three months away. Our Chianti Experience trip is based about 200 miles south of the area in northern Italy where the large majority of cases have been identified.

At this time all our 2020 trips are “on” as planned, and we very much hope we’re able to welcome travelers to the beautiful places in Europe that we love so much.

We’re monitoring information about the coronavirus from the Center for Disease Control, the World Health Organization, and the State Department. We’ll be watching the Center for Disease Control’s advice for international travel, and we’ll evaluate if we need to do anything differently as the time of each of our trips approaches. European authorities are taking extensive precautions to prevent the spread of the virus.

Every traveler needs to decide what is right for them and what level of risk they’re comfortable with. If we need to cancel any of this year’s tours, we’ll provide a 100% refund or will re-book the traveler on another trip in 2020 or 2021.

In the meantime, our normal cancellation policies apply. We’re modifying our trip transfer policies if travelers want to change to another open trip in the current year. We’ll now allow a transfer 90 days before a trip and will waive the $50 transfer fee.

This is the 15th year we’re offering our European Experiences small group tours, and we continue to be focused on providing the best small-group travel experience possible in Europe’s most beautiful places.
